FDC SYSTEMS WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2000
Starting out primarily as a fire detection and fire suppression company in Pietermaritzburg, FDC Systems quickly became a well-known and trusted brand in the field.
We responded to our clients’ demand to extend our range of services to fully cover their project needs. This required us to upscale our knowledge and skill set to provide turnkey solutions to serve their life safety and security asset needs. We adapted to this need and we confidently offer an extensive range of electronic building, life safety and security solutions.
In 2008, we opened our Durban branch due to a growing demand to cover the Durban and coastal areas. In 2014, we started our Johannesburg operation, which continues to grow steadily, providing the Gauteng region with the same high-quality service that our KwaZulu-Natal branches have delivered over the years.

We offer a wide range of services, specialising in hospitals, where we are able to provide our clients with professionally-installed and maintained systems, from nurse call to fire detection systems and everything in between. We are able to assist from the design stage right through to installation, ongoing maintenance and technical support.

FDC staff has completed extensive training and attended all courses offered by our
suppliers for the systems that they supply. Certificates are on record and can be supplied on request.
